Sometimes the worst really does happen.

The Kuiper Belt is a long way from Earth. But nobody lives on Earth anymore. After the Exodus, what’s left of humanity has a made a home on the moon. It’s not an easy place to live, though: there aren’t enough resources. And so people go where they can find them. They go to the Kuiper Belt.
It’s a long journey, and the mining crews that bring back chunks of asteroids don’t travel with enough food and water to make it home. They rely on Kuiper Belt stations to resupply. The stations keep the miners alive.
Things get desperate when a station dies.
Ryka and the crew of the Blue Fox don’t even have enough food to reach another station. When nobody on Station 86 answers their hail, they have no choice but to try to cut their way in and grab whatever supplies they can.
Unfortunately, something plans on grabbing them.
Dead Station is packed with exquisite details and will drag you to the end kicking and screaming (like so many of its characters).
